Project Spotlight: Custom Steel Door Fabrication & Install for a Doral Facility

When a commercial facility in Doral needed a heavy-duty steel door that an off-the-shelf unit couldn't match, they came to Fine Edge Industries. We fabricated the door from scratch at our Hallandale Beach shop and installed it on-site, a clean example of how custom commercial metal fabrication solves problems standard products can't.

The Challenge

The facility needed a secure, durable steel door built to a specific opening, with the strength a commercial and industrial site demands. A stock door didn't fit the framing or the security requirement, so the client needed a fabricator who could build to exact dimensions and install it correctly the first time.

Fabricated at Our Shop

We cut, welded, and reinforced the door at our shop using AWS D1.1-grade welding, then prepped it for hardware and finish. Building in a controlled shop environment means tighter tolerances and a cleaner result than fabricating in the field, then we crated it up and moved it to the site.

Installed On-Site in Doral

Our crew delivered the finished door to the Doral site and set it into the existing opening, drilling and anchoring it into the frame for a secure, square fit. Handling both the fabrication and the on-site installation with one team means no gaps between a fabricator and a separate installer, and any field adjustment happens on the spot.

The Result

A custom heavy-duty steel door, fabricated to spec and installed clean in its frame, ready for years of service at a busy commercial property. It's the kind of work we do across Miami-Dade and Broward: solve the problem a standard product can't, build it right, and stand behind it.
